MW4 DMZ PC Requirements: Compatibility and Security
Check the PC requirements relevant to MW4 DMZ, including supported store versions and any official security prerequisites.
DMZ uses the same MW4 PC client. The launch listing asks for a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC, at least 8 GB of RAM and 115 GB on an SSD. The recommended configuration moves to 16 GB RAM and newer GPUs. The PC product information also requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.

Minimum and recommended PC specs
The Steam listing and Activision’s PC material agree on the broad baseline: a 64-bit Windows machine, a broadband connection, a DirectX-compatible sound device and 115 GB of storage.
Use the exact GPU models below. Activision’s PC trailer lists Core i7-8700K for the recommended CPU; its support article lists i7-8700. Check the current official specifications for your setup.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit, latest update | Windows 11 64-bit, latest update |
| CPU | Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600 | Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | RX 470, GTX 970 / 1060 or Arc A580 | RX 6600 XT, RTX 3060 Ti or Arc B580 |
| Storage | 115 GB SSD at launch | 115 GB SSD at launch |
TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot
The official DMZ page says TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required on PC and notes that other security measures may be enforced. This is an official platform prerequisite, not a recommendation that can be ignored for convenience.
Check the motherboard firmware and Windows security settings against the official support instructions before buying or troubleshooting performance. Do not disable security features merely to force the game to launch.
Supported PC storefronts
The official PC launch material names Xbox on PC, Battle.net and Steam. The Steam appdetails entry provides the verified price and requirements used for this page, while the other storefronts may present different regional pricing.
Installing only the DMZ files can reduce the client footprint, but the same account entitlement and store requirements still apply.
What the performance target does and does not mean
Activision’s PC material targets 90 FPS at the recommended specification. That is a development target for a particular test configuration, not a guarantee for every CPU/GPU combination, resolution, upscaler setting or busy server.
Use the requirements to check compatibility, then verify graphics options and drivers in your own client. The reviewed material does not supply a benchmark for DMZ’s high-player-count matches.
A short compatibility check
If your machine is below the minimum, the supported purchase decision belongs on the edition and price page. For the launch date and platform timing, use the release-date page.
- Confirm Windows is 64-bit and fully updated.
- Reserve 115 GB on an SSD rather than counting free space on a hard drive.
- Check TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot before downloading.
- Compare the exact GPU model, not only the vendor.
- Check the storefront’s regional listing and edition before purchase.
