MW4 DMZ Map: Hajin Regions and Navigation
Explore the scope of Hajin in MW4 DMZ and use a region index to find relevant location and navigation guidance.
The MW4 DMZ map is Hajin, a large open exclusion zone where South Korea, North Korea and Russia meet. You deploy into the same shared region rather than choosing separate instanced maps. The official Call of Duty Tac Map provides the interactive layout; this page translates its major regions and labels into a task index without redrawing the map.
Scope: Launch map scope, checked 23 October 2026. Named-area counts vary with the source; no original map or coordinate set is claimed.

What kind of map Hajin is
Hajin is one sprawling combat zone built around a Korean border region. Its official description names an irradiated Fallout reactor, a secured Prison complex, the ruins of Hajin City and a heavily defended Military Base, alongside forests, villages and industrial sites.
The designers call it one of the largest Call of Duty environments, with environmental storytelling and sealed or hidden locations. That scope explains why a single deployment can cover only a small part of the map, especially with a reported 30-minute window before radiation pressure increases.
A region index for planning
Use the table as a task index, not a claimed complete POI atlas. The official Tac Map contains more labels than the set below, and a third-party map counts 13 named locations under its own grouping. Those counts are not interchangeable.
| Area or landmark | Known role | Useful next task |
|---|---|---|
| Hajin City | Dense urban area with damaged civilian infrastructure | Compare loot areas by risk |
| Fallout reactor / eastern heavy fallout | Irradiated sector with loot reported as unique to the area | Check the gas-mask warning |
| Prison complex | Highly secured point of interest | See mission structures |
| Military Base | Heavily defended military area | Plan the way out |
| Mirae General Hospital | Location named for Operation Critical Extraction and medical loot | Story Mission context |
| Chang-san Air Base | Location named for Operation Iron Citadel | Story Mission context |
| The Grid | Financial district named in Operation Grid Assault | Story Mission context |
How to read the map and threat signals
Hajin uses a Threat level shown near the compass. “Low” is the least problematic level in an area with enemies; “Extreme” is the highest. A higher reading means a more dangerous and numerous hostile response, not simply a larger number of players.
The official map also exposes POI icons such as an Ammo Armor Cache, UAV Tower, Lieutenant Hunt, Fire Station, Clinic, Police Station and Gas Station. Treat those labels as planning aids: an icon tells you what kind of opportunity or service the site may offer, not that the building is safe or unlooted when you arrive.
| Signal | What it tells you | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Threat level | How severe the AI response is expected to be | Whether rival players are nearby |
| POI icon | A named activity, service or loot type in that area | That the site is currently unoccupied or untouched |
| Weather | Downpours, fog or overcast can reduce visibility | A fixed safe route through the area |
| Exfil markers | Available extraction options in the current match | A permanent location that is always open |
Plan around the objective, not a straight line
Choose the part of Hajin that serves the deployment. A hospital or clinic route supports medical preparation; police and military sites may support combat gear; residential districts support crafting resources. The eastern fallout sector is a different risk class because the official overview says a gas mask is needed to reach loot available nowhere else.
The map is shared with other Operators. A route that is quiet at insertion can become contested after a supply drop, a Hunt Tower discovery or a gunfight. Read the official Hajin task group alongside the in-match map rather than relying on a static screenshot.
What is not included here
This page does not embed a third-party interactive map, provide coordinates for every POI or claim that one named-location count is universal. The official Tac Map is the best source for the current labels and selection layer.
For a resource decision, continue to loot-area comparison. For the way out, use the extraction guide.
Common questions
Is Hajin one map or several maps?
The official material describes one sprawling Exclusion Zone. Different districts and points of interest sit inside that shared region; no separate instanced map selection is described.
Does the threat level include other players?
No. The official Tac Map explains that the Threat indicator covers the AI response and does not include human Operators.
