MW4 DMZ FOB: Forward Operating Base Services
Navigate the MW4 DMZ Forward Operating Base and understand which services support preparation, inventory and operator progression.
The Forward Operating Base is the preparation hub before and after every deployment. Its reviewed services include Orders, Stash and Loadout, the 3D Printer, Gunsmith, Weapon Vendor, Firing Range, Active Duty, Boss Board and Deploy. The Boss Board unlocks after the second DMZ Order; Gunsmith unlocks at DMZ Player Level 10. The base also serves as a social space and evolves as you progress.

Access and unlock structure
The FOB is the default return point before and after operations. Some Stations are available immediately, while others depend on progression: the Boss Board is tied to completing two DMZ Orders, and the Gunsmith appears at DMZ Player Level 10.
The exact order of every Station is not fully documented, so do not assume that a locked door means a missing purchase. Check Orders and Player Level first.
How the FOB evolves
Completing Missions, earning XP and investing in the Trait system can unlock new functionality. The official deep dive says the FOB visually transforms as it grows; station upgrades can also be supported by the 3D Printer.
The base is therefore both a menu and a progression surface. A useful first visit should identify what is already open, what is gated by an Order and what requires Cash or crafting materials.
A staging ground, not a safe deployment
The FOB is described as a social hub where squads regroup and experienced players can help newer ones. It is a place to prepare, not a promise that the next deployment will be quiet.
Operators stay in Active Duty while the player is at the base. Use the time to check the next extraction plan and the medical supply before choosing Deploy.
